Background
Commissioned by BBC Wales and Leopard Pictures, The Snow Spider blends mythology and storytelling with a distinctive visual style.
The work required both character creation and full VFX support, contributing to the series’ tone from its opening moments through to final delivery.
The Challenge
Create a believable digital spider that could exist within a grounded, live-action world — while also developing a title sequence that sets the tone for the series.
At the same time, the team needed to deliver:
- Full VFX post-production
- Seamless compositing
- Invisible clean-up across shots
Balancing fantasy and realism was key.
The Approach
